Use Control’s bell to check events, uploads and deployment progress.

### Read progress and errors

Notification interface examples from the existing documentation.

1. **Open the bell**

Use Notifications for events, Uploads for uploads and Deployments for model downloads.

2. **Check before retrying**

Match the model and device. Record any error before retrying or cancelling an operation.

This example has no deployments in progress.

**Read the notification guide**

Select the **bell** in Control's top bar.

| Tab | Use it to |
| --- | --- |
| **Notifications** | Read device and operation events; filter warnings or errors |
| **Uploads** | Check model upload progress |
| **Deployments** | Follow downloads and confirm **Deployed** |

Check the deployment's device and model before retrying or cancelling it. A completed download is different from a model actively [serving requests](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/getting-started/initial-setup#serve-a-model).

## Resolve a problem

Record the exact error and affected device before clearing an alert. For a deployment that has stopped progressing, check connectivity and free disk space, then follow [deployment help](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/getting-started/initial-setup#if-deployment-fails).

## Change the theme

Control's light/dark option is in the **account menu** in the top-right corner. The documentation site's theme button is separate.
