# Control overview

Use [Control](https://control.locai.co.uk/) to manage devices, models and deployments.

### Manage devices in Control

From a model in the library to an application endpoint.

1.  **Choose a model**
    
    Open Models → Globally Shared. Check its task, framework and size before choosing Deploy.

2.  **Choose the device**
    
    Select the online target device and confirm deployment. It needs capacity for the model and engine.

3.  **Find the local endpoint**
    
    In Serving → API Usage, find the model endpoint. On this machine use 127.0.0.1 and the displayed port.

## Devices and fleets

Use **Devices** to check registration, online state and agent version. Organisation administrators with access can use [Fleet](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/fleet/overview) for configuration and rollout management.

## Monitoring

Check last-seen times, resource measurements and [Notifications](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/getting-started/notifications-hub). Use [Inference](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/getting-started/view-and-export-results) for reported results.

## Deployments

Choose a model in **Models**, deploy it to an online device, then start it under **Serving**. See [deployment guidance](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/getting-started/initial-setup#deploy-a-model).

## Updates

Check the installed Link version and [release notes](https://docs.aventail.co.uk/docs/changelog/link) before updating. Test changes on a non-critical device and plan for interrupted requests.
